This series is dedicated to my mother's experience being an immigrant latina woman, and coming to the united stated . from my focus specifically on her then spreading her influnce to my other family members. how important and strong the women are in my family. to returning back to my family, the ramirez - crisostomo. how i was the first person in my family to graduate from a university, and even growing up i noticed the importance of care from my mother and the appreciation of our culture. how she sacrificed time and money for me and my siblings to love one another and to be chingon. with this series i hope it reaches to many first gen latine/x students. how it's not just suffering and loss within our community but there is love, hope and strength.
